Liverpool is UK’s most bingo-obsessed city

A recent study conducted by Casino.co.uk, a platform known for its top-notch UK casino reviews and ratings, has unveiled Liverpool as the leading city in the UK when it comes to an obsession with bingo. Liverpool’s residents are actively searching for bingo-related terms more than any other city in the country.

The research involved analyzing Google search data from major cities across the UK over the past year, specifically focusing on terms related to bingo. To make the comparisons fair, the number of searches in each city was adjusted based on its population, resulting in a search volume per 100,000 people.

Liverpool emerged as the most fervent bingo-loving city in the UK. On average, Liverpool registers approximately 95,222 monthly searches for bingo-related keywords. When scaled down to a per capita figure, this translates to a staggering 19,654 searches for every 100,000 Liverpudlians. In simpler terms, nearly one out of every five individuals in the city is actively seeking to engage with online bingo on a monthly basis.

Securing the second spot is Dundee, a Scottish city, with an average of 23,747 monthly bingo-related searches. When adjusted for population, this equates to approximately 16,016 searches per 100,000 Dundonians, or roughly one in every six residents.

Lincoln claims the third position in the rankings, with a monthly tally of 15,279 Google searches related to bingo. This amounts to 14,931 searches for every 100,000 individuals in the city. Just behind Lincoln is Blackburn, coming in fourth, with around 17,085 monthly searches, resulting in about 14,484 searches per 100,000 residents.

Salford secures the fifth spot, with 14,980 Google searches for bingo each month. For every 100,000 Salfordians, around 14,419 individuals are actively searching for bingo-related information on a monthly basis.

The sixth city on the list is Burnley, recording an average of 13,464 monthly bingo-related searches, which translates to 14,214 searches per 100,000 people. Following closely is Hereford, where the population conducts approximately 8,547 monthly bingo-related searches, equaling 13,562 searches per 100,000 residents, positioning it in seventh place.

Glasgow claims the eighth position, with an impressive 83,160 monthly Google searches for bingo terms, corresponding to roughly 13,275 searches for every 100,000 Glaswegians. Newcastle upon Tyne takes the ninth spot with 39,496 Google searches, resulting in 13,242 searches per 100,000 residents.

Completing the top ten is Kingston upon Hull, where the city records an average of 32,640 monthly bingo-related searches or approximately 12,498 searches per 100,000 people.

An expert at Casino.co.uk commented: “For most people across the UK, bingo remains an exciting and social event to attend with the high possibility of getting lucky and winning some money. With the cost of living ever increasing, bingo offers a fun way of possibly winning some extra cash alongside socialising with other like-minded people.

“This study offers an exciting insight into which cities in the UK are the most keen to take part in bingo and which cities aren’t as keen for chancing their luck and getting some wins.”
